      AfterCHOICE is an annual, one-day seminar designed to educate, equip and encourage those who are in a position to break the cycle of silence and misinformation in our community and to facilitate healing for men, women, and families experiencing abortion-related Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. This year our focus is providing specialized training for clinical professionals.

Greg Hasek, MA, LMFT, LPC,

Executive Director of Misty Mountain Counseling Center,

Greg Hasek is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a marriage and family therapist in Portland, Oregon, He is also the Executive Director of Misty Mountain Family Counseling Center, a non-profit agency. He has previously taught in George Fox University's Graduate School of Counseling Program for six years.        

In 2005, he organized the first ever Men’s Summit to specifically address how abortion affects men. Since then he has been instrumental in helping develop the The Men and Abortion Network, which is a national organization with a mission to create both awareness and healing for men who have lost a child due to an abortion decision. Mr. Hasek has spoken at numerous conferences over the years, including National Right to Life conventions. He was one of the featured speakers at “Reclaiming Fatherhood,” an international conference on men and abortion, which took place in 2007 and 2008. In 2011, he presented at the Healing Vision conference, which brought together experts in the field of abortion-related trauma from around the world. He has recently received international attention for his work on men and abortion issues and has presented in Australia in 2012.


He is also involved in developing evidenced-based treatment programs for abortion related trauma within the United States and has begun providing training for therapists using these models grounded in psychological theory. He has presented on numerous topics, including: "The Application of Attachment Theory to a Healing Program for Post Abortion Men and Women," "Unmasking the Hidden Effects of Abortion on Men: Reframing Men in the Effect and the Abortion Decision Through a Trauma Lens, “Unrecognized/Unresolved Post Abortion Grief in Males and the Link to Sexual Addiction,” “Father/Fatherhood Wounds and Attachment Disorders Among Men,” and “The Secret Destroyer of Marriage: Unresolved Abortion Related Trauma and Attachment Issues Within the Marital Relationship."


In addition, Mr. Hasek has published articles and appeared on television and radio programs around the country discussing these issues.

Linda Stewart brings 12 years of experience speaking to over 200 groups, writing, and training others, with the past 4 years specializing in abortion-trauma recovery, especially as it relates to women. She was an associate producer of the FOX6/MyTV13 documentary, Teen Pregnancy: Real Lives, Real Choices. She has a Master of Arts from National University, is a member of both the Torrey Honors Institute at Biola University and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. Mrs. Stewart is an Advisory Board member of the Crisis Pregnancy and Abortion Recovery Division of the American Association of Christian Counselors, and has a private practice at Haven of Safety Relationship Center, Carlsbad, CA.
